It is the objective of Braintree Nursing Home to provide care to all Service Users, a standard of excellence, which embraces fundamental principles of good care practices.  This may be witnessed and evaluated through the practice, conduct and control of quality care in the home.  It is a fundamental ethos that the Service Users who reside at Braintree Nursing Home are able to do so in accordance with the homes Statement of Purpose.    

Braintree Nursing Home is situated in a very pleasant location in Braintree, Essex, 5 minutes driving distance from the Braintree Railway Station and 10 minutes walking distance from Braintree town centre. Braintree Nursing Home is situated off the main road by private driveway.

For visits to our residents, Braintree Village with its many shops, restaurants and facilities is only a ten minutes’ drive away.

If you have a family member or friend who needs nursing care, you will be looking for a Care Home that provides nursing care around the clock. Braintree Nursing Home has been providing nursing care for almost 40 years.

 

The home employs an activity coordinator and hosts regular social events such as parties, barbeques and garden parties which are open to relatives, friends and the local community.

Friends and family are warmly welcomed at any time, and are encouraged to feel at home.

The staff team provide a high standard of person centred care, caring for a small group of residents. This enables flexibility insuring residents are supported and encouraged to make daily decisions about their own care and maintain independence as much as possible.

About our rooms...

At Braintree Nursing Home we have 50 bedrooms, 20 with ensuite and WC.  The home has undergone refurbishment including new flooring, bathrooms, entertainment systems, plus Netflix and all rooms have television points.  We encourage Service Users to personalise their room with personal belongings, and small pieces of furniture.

About our facilities...

At Braintree Nursing Home there are 2 lounges, a conservatory, 2 dining rooms there is an activities room also in the main building. We have a small car parking area and a secure quadrangle area. The home has a music system that plays various music throughout the day around the home. We have a professional kitchen equipped to prepare meals and offer refreshments.


What about food and diets?

At Braintree Nursing Home we make sure that our Service Users receive a good, balanced and healthy diet.  We cater for all levels of modified foods using the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI).   On admission a catering preference form is completed so that staff are aware of likes & dislikes. Service Users are offered a choice of foods at mealtimes and this is displayed in the dining rooms every day.
